In order to move forward to the future, we must always keep the past in our present thoughts and memories. - Héctor Vaca Cruz

Between November and December of 2023, I was hired to photograph 10 storytellers, for Living Archives Charlotte, a project that is collecting stories of how people lived during the early days of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Each subject in the traveling exhibit recounts stories of resilience and inspiration, as they lived through the global pandemic that shook us all.

The Living Archives is a collaboration between the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library, The Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University, Johnson C Smith University, and the Levine Museum of the New South.
